Hydroponics

It is a technique of growing plants without the use of soil. An inert medium is used for support whilst a water based nutrient solution is fed directly to the plant's roots. It benefits both plants and gardener alike:
- the roots are fed the nutrients and oxygen the plant requires for growth
- no watering required - an active set-up will re-circulate and re-use the solution
- water conservation, just keep your reservoir topped up!
- no more weeding - plants are grown in an inert medium, such as clay pebbles or rockwool, so weeds cannot take hold.
- ideal if garden / greenhouses are left unattended for a while
It is ideally suited for greenhouse vegetable/tomato growing and courtyard borders. Please call for more information.
